Custodial History
The windmill and watermill computer databases were compiled by Tony Bryan and the Mills Research Group. Early computer generated lists were published in the Newsletter of the Cambridge Wind and Water Mills Society in the 1980s. In the 1990s the database was transferred to Access and in 1998 the 'Windmill Gazetteer for England' was published. In 2003 the data was used as the basis for the mills index in the Mills Archive's online catalogue.
