John Norman Holmes sentenced to death for the murder of Miss Elsie Cameron at Wesley Farm, Crowborough at the Sussex Assizes on 16 Mar 1925. Appeal heard at the Court of Criminal Appeal on 6 Apr 1925. Judgement given on 7 Apr. Appeal dismissed
