Rogers, 1697-[20th century], comprising chronological notes, [20th century], on national and local historical events; topographical notes, [20th century], on places in Glamorgan, the Lordship of Gower, Carmarthenshire, Cardiganshire and Pembrokeshire; notes, transcripts and newspaper cuttings relating to local history, [20th century]; family history notes and genealogies, [20th century]; index of Gower family names, [20th century]; biographical notes and lists relating to Swansea public officers, [20th century]; volume of plans showing the boundaries of the Borough of Swansea, collected by George Grant Francis, 1853; historical and antiquarian maps and plans of parts of Swansea, 1764-1881; maps and plans, 1790-1880, and copies, [20th century], of Swansea including the harbour and Llangyfelach, and roads, railways and canals in Swansea and South Wales; inventory of goods, 1697.

Administrative / Biographical History

William Cyril Rogers of Swansea (1912-1995) worked in the Estates Department of Swansea County Borough Council and City Council. Rogers made extensive notes on the history and antiquities of Swansea and South Wales and also collected photographs of Swansea.
