Administrative / Biographical History

This peculiar jurisdiction, once belonging to Selby abbey, extended over Snaith, Airmyn, Balne, Carlton, Cowick, Goole, Gowdall, Heck, Hensall, Hook, Ousefleet, Pollington, Rawcliffe, Reedness, Swinefleet and Whitgift.
