Ashes Pasture Nature Reserve

Scope and Content

Papers relating to the stewardship of Ashes Pasture Nature Reserve, comprising management committee minutes 1984-1994 and early management correspondence, including the acquisition of the site, 1979-1998.
Two further uncatalogued deposits include biological records, legal agreements and further correspondence 1978-2010.

Records are open to the public, subject to the overriding provisions of relevant legislation, including data protection laws.

Acquisition Information

Deposited with the Borthwick Institute by Yorkshire Wildlife Trust in 2014, with further additions made in 2016.

A reprographics service is available to researchers. Copying will not be undertaken if there is any risk of damage to the document. Copies are supplied in accordance with the Borthwick Institute for Archives' terms and conditions for the supply of copies, and under provisions of any relevant copyright legislation. Permission to reproduce images of documents in the custody of the Borthwick Institute must be sought.

Appraisal Information

The files were weeded for duplicates by Yorkshire Wildlife Trust staff prior to deposit. Material of insufficient archival value has been removed and returned to the Trust's record store in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
