Scope and Content

Papers relating to the stewardship and ecology of the former Trust reserve at Hagg Wood Marsh, including minutes of the reserve management committee, 1975-1991, records of the Trust's tenure at the site 1967-1993, management correspondence on general conservation issues, 1967-1992, and biological records 1970-1983.

Records are open to the public, subject to the overriding provisions of relevant legislation, including data protection laws.

Acquisition Information

Deposited with the Borthwick Institute by Yorkshire Wildlife Trust in 2014 with additional uncatalogued deposits made in 2016.

Conditions Governing Use

A reprographics service is available to researchers. Copying will not be undertaken if there is any risk of damage to the document. Copies are supplied in accordance with the Borthwick Institute for Archives' terms and conditions for the supply of copies, and under provisions of any relevant copyright legislation. Permission to reproduce images of documents in the custody of the Borthwick Institute must be sought.

Appraisal Information

The files were weeded for duplicates by Yorkshire Wildlife Trust staff prior to deposit. Material of insufficient archival value has been removed and returned to Wakefield.
