Postcard, dated 5 December 1918, from Corporal Jesse Nusbaum, the first National Park Service Archaeologist, writing to Dr Charles Fletcher Lummis, Southwest Museum. Nusbaum describes how he is waiting to return to the "good old USA after being on Verdun front with First Army - Fifth Corps for over two months". He signs the postcard as "Corp. Jess Nusbaum, Co K - 52 Pioneer D Inf"
