PISHILL PARISH RECORDS

Scope and Content

Pishill is situated 25 miles south east of Oxford. The church was part of the Peculiar of Dorchester until 1846. For some records of notes on baptisms and burials in the parish please see PAR178.

The records were originally deposited in the Bodleian Library by Rev JR Saint-Nicholas, priest in charge of Pishill in 1979. The material was then transferred to the Oxfordshire Record Office. Further records were deposited as Acc 6588 in June 2017.

A conspectus of new and old references is included at the end of this catalogue. Catalogued by Alison Smith, August 2009 with additions in January 2018.
