Administrative / Biographical History

The correspondence relates Antarctic expeditions and explorers. A large part of the collection is made up of letters received by Kinsey from amongst others, Amundsen, Priestley, Shackleton and Wilson. The correspondence deals primarily with the British Antarctic Expedition, 1910-1913 (leader Robert Falcon Scott).
