Society for the Furtherance of Critical Philosophy (SFCP) and related individuals

Scope and Content

The records received as MSS.173 relate to the move of the school established by the society from Denmark (where it had sought refuge) to England, to its financial and practical affairs during the Second World War and its re-registration as an educational trust. Much of the correspondence is with George F Green. Other correspondence is with Leonard Nelson and the pedagogue, Minna Specht.

Accession 903 contains records relating to Socratic dialogues, conferences, publications, research and legal and financial matters, including video and sound recordings of conferences, discussions and interviews.

Administrative / Biographical History
