Administrative / Biographical History
British Coal, Jesus College Oxford and the Plymouth Estate together owned a freehold of a 91 acre former colliery and coking works at Nantgarw, Glamorgan. The owners formed themselves into a consortium so as to be able to effect a freehold disposal of their joint interests. Messrs Hillier Parker and Cooke and Arkwright were appointed as sole agents, development consultants and planning advisors and Messrs Herbert Smith were solicitors to the consortium.
