Scope and Content

Case file for a fatal accident that occurred at Cwm Colliery on 26 Mar 1973. Includes: correspondence with the National Union of Mineworkers concerning the fatality of the 15 year old trainee; a fatal accident report compiled by the National Coal Board, Mining Department, Safety Branch; manuscript notes of evidence taken at an inquest held on 3 May 1973 at Talbot Green Magistrates Court; photographs and a plan showing the accident site; and a newspaper cutting concerning the accident.
