Scope and Content

Ordnance Survey, [First Edition], Glamorgan Sheets 19.1, 19.2 and 19.5. Three plans to be viewed together as one larger (incomplete) plan. Estate boundaries, specifying name of owner, are shown on the plan. Merthyr Vale Colliery and surrounding buildings, Rhymney Railway, buildings near Deep Duffryn Colliery and buildings in Miskin are annotated on the plan. The overall plan shows the following collieries: Glyn Gwyn Level, Lower Duffryn Colliery, Merthyr Vale (No.1 and No.2 Pits), Deep Duffryn and Navigation. Scale 1:2500.
