Administrative / Biographical History
William Nelson Clarke (1799-1855), whose father lived at Ardington in Berkshire, matriculated from Christ Church, Oxford, 23 May 1817, aged 18 (DCL 1847). He edited a Parochial topography of the hundred of Wanting, with other miscellaneous records relating to the county of Berks (Oxford, 1824), and A collection of letters addressed by prelates and individuals of high rank in Scotland ... to Sancroft, archbishop of Canterbury (Edinburgh, 1848).
