Small file of letters from the writer Rosemary Sutcliff to Barbara Leonie Picard. The letters reference the difficulties both Sutcliff and Picard appear to have had in writing the titles they contributed to the Batsford Living History series ['The Tower and the Traitors' by Picard and 'Houses and Homes' by Sutcliff], and Sutcliff's opinion of Henry Treece's contribution to that series ['The Queen's Brooch']; Sutcliff's opinion of the works of J.R.R. Tolkien and T.H. White; Sutcliff's admiration for Picard's work, in particular her fairy tales; and also reference some of Sutcliff's books, including 'Outcast', 'Warrior Scarlet', 'The Lantern Bearers', 'Knight's Fee', and 'Beowulf: Dragonslayer'.
