Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
Previously known as Amalgamated Clubs (from 1886), Junior Common Room (JCR) significant by 1968-1972; Clare College Student Association (CCSA) from 1972-1989 and later Union of Clare Students (UCS) from 1989. More recently the main business of the UCS (formally JCR) is run by the Executive Committee.

Divided into series by type of material on receipt by the archivist.
Access Information
Any previously published material (e.g. publicity flyers, magazines and newsletters) will be available for consultation.
All unpublished College records are subject to a 50-year closure period from date of creation, to protect the rights of third parties. Any material judged to contain sensitive personal data may remain closed for longer, at the discretion of the College.
Accruals
Further accessions will continue to be received, though more frequently in electronic form.
