JA Dossor (1862-1931) was a shopkeeper living in Hutton Cranswick, East Yorkshire and the diary relates his life and experiences and those of his family and neighbours. 'The Dorseys down the ages, 1695-1995' includes family trees and a narrative of the ancestors of the commissioner and compiler, Alan David Dorsey.
