The material comprises:
- (a) numbers 1-13, miscellaneous letters (April 1886-October 1897) to Marion Harry Spielmann from the artist William Holman Hunt (1827-1910), mostly written from Draycott Lodge, Fulham;
- (b) number 14, a letter (23 March 1892) to Spielmann from Edith Holman Hunt informing him that her husband has finished his painting Sacred Fire and inviting him to see it;
- (c) number 15, a holograph copy (7 pp.) of a letter of August 1889 to a friend from Holman Hunt on the subject of the Royal Academy's proposed reform.
