Handwritten daily entries accompanied by line drawings and illustrations drawn by the author.

Subjects include: railway strike (21 Jan); end of railway strike (29 Jan); dockers' strike begun (16 Feb); installing a wireless receiving station at home (21 Feb); purchase of a license for his wireless (4 Mar); fixing an aerial to the outside wall (15 May); attendance at the Stamp exhibition in the People's Palace (24 May); unveiling of the cenotaph in George Square (31 May); holiday to Largs (1 - 15 Aug); visit of the Duke and Duchess of York to Glasgow (2 Sep) and mounted police on patrol in Glasgow (3 Sep).

Debits for 1924 recorded at the end of the volume (which also includes a news-cutting of a poem by Thomas Cairns Livingstone [Junior]: "Blood-Stream", 1 Jul 1932).
