Subjects include: his son receiving an annual Carnegie Bursary for £9 (12 Oct); his son beginning his studies at the University of Glasgow (14 Oct); attendance at the Housing Exhibition (18 October); receiving treatment for a varicose vein on his leg (3 Nov); visiting the Glasgow Corporation Housing Scheme office to enquire about a house (8 Nov); posting an application for a Glasgow Corporation house (18 Nov); first attendance at a talking film (20 Nov); the spire of Gorbals Parish Church being demolished by lightning (9 Dec); attendance at City Hall to hear the Scottish Orchestra (19 Dec); his son selling Ygorra magazine (15 Jan); visiting Springburn Museum (23 Mar); tram accident in Partick (13 Apr); his son beginning cycling at the University of Glasgow (16 Apr); his son receiving his English Certificate, First Class (14 May); his son attending a prize ceremony (15 May); holiday to Rothesay (16 - 30 Aug) and the death of Josephine, his sister (6 Sep).
