Subjects include: beginning of Safety First week (15 Jan); possibility of getting a wireless (17 Mar); his son sitting his qualifying examination (25 May); his son winning a fish at the fair in Queens Park (2 Jun); his son passing his qualifying exam (6 Jun); visiting Andrew Pettigrew at Erskine Hospital (16 Jun); his son's last day at Victoria School (29 Jun); holiday to Largs (1 - 15 Aug); his son starting at Strathbungo Academy (21 Aug); the death of Andrew Pettigrew (6 Sep); visit to Mosspark to see the new houses (30 Sep); attendance at the Housing Exhibition (13 Oct); visiting Rutherglen Library to see the Old Ruglonian Society exhibition (18 Oct); visiting Govanhill Library to see new system of open access (20 Oct); moving to a new church, the New Bridgegate U.F. Church (21 Oct); municipal election (6 Nov); purchase of new eyeglasses (29 Nov); death of John Maclean (1 Dec); fire in Drury Street (22 Dec) and his son attending the carnival at the Kelvin Hall (26 Dec).
