Subjects include: return to Morgan Street (31 Jul); medical treatment of local boy who went headfirst through a window (17 Aug); completion of coal request form (5 Nov); students' day (15 Jan); gales (26 - 28 Jan); damage to houses from the gales and reports of eleven Glaswegians killed (30 Jan); visit to Kings Park to see the new houses (13 Mar); his son sitting for a bursary (19 Mar); fire at Charing Cross (2 May); his son coming first in his examination (10 Jun); royal visit to Glasgow to open the new Kelvin Hall among other duties (12 Jul); holiday to Port Bannatyne (1 - 15 Aug); his son giving a lecture on Shakespeare (27 Oct); municipal election (1 Nov); fire in the Gallowgate (24 Dec); opening of the George V Bridge (27 Feb) and his son sitting his Higher examination (19 Mar).
