Copy letter to Jacqueline Korn of David Higham Associates (NCN's agent) from Craig Raine at Faber and Faber, reporting on Faber's decision not to publish a Collected poems of NCN. He expresses his surprise at how long it took NCN to find his poetic voice, and his feeling that a collected poems would affect NCN's reputation adversely. Raine reports that he was persuaded by Charles Monteith to consider a collected volume which omitted the plays and some unpublished material, but on obtaining an estimate for this realised that it was not feasible. He reiterates that he feels a Selected poems serves NCN best. This copy of the letter was forwarded to Doreen Cornthwaite by Irvine [Hunt], with a note.
