The collection consists of material relating to electric vehicles and electric vehicle propulsion systems, and electric vehicles developed by a range of manufacturers.

The collection comprises three sections: Research and reports; Electric vehicles; and Electric power systems.

In the absence of documentation and a coherent order, the collection has been arranged into three series, reflecting the focus of the material.
