Administrative / Biographical History

William Alexander Riddell Walker was born in 1906 and educated at St. Alban's School, and Glasgow University. He entered the Colonial Administrative Service as a cadet in 1930. He was posted to the Gold Coast where, in 1931, he was appointed to the post of Assistant District Commissioner.
