Includes correspondence with Prohibitionist and Temperance organisations in England. Canada and elsewhere, postcards and photographs of Scrymgeour and his circle, and occasional issues of local publications (including the Caledon Welfare Magazine, and Scottish Prohibitionist Newspaper.) Edwin Scrymgeour (28 July 1866 – 1 February 1947) was Member of Parliament for Dundee 1922-1931. He is notable as the only Prohibitionist British Member of Parliament. His party, the Scottish Prohibitionist Party, were left-wing and sympathetic to the Labour movement.
