Salted paper print Cataract and Island of Philae by unknown photographer. Shows a very rugged and rocky landscape around the river Nile. The foreground is strewn with large rocks. Some buildings are just visible in the far distance (left of centre).
The top two corners of the print appear to have been folded over but this is reproduced from the negative. The corners of the print have been trimmed to this shape to add to the illusion.
