John Hitchinson (Pool) to Rev. Mr. Hope Eyton (the Mount, Wrexham): the twelve judges were of opinion that no judgement could be pronounced against the men imprisoned in Flint Goal for breaking down the inclosures in the parish of Hope on the proofs given, so would be prudent to apply for a pardon immediately to try to prevent further trouble.
