This file contains 2 photographs are possibly of a production of Walter Resch's "Politik um Clodia" (possibly "Politik und Clodia"), directed by Elias Jubal at the Modernes Theater am Schwarzenbergplatz in Vienna, staged in December 1937. The photographs show a cast of 20 actors on stage in a setting clearly meant to be ancient Rome. In one they line a wooden staircase, watching a lion below, presumably representing a Roman amphitheatre. The photographs show Hannah Norbert-Miller as Clodia amongst the cast. On the verso of the photographs there is a stamp mark showing 'J.W. Spearman. Photographer, 65 High Street, Eton, Bucks'.

Cannot be sure that this is "Politik um Clodia", and the stamp of J.W. Spearman makes this more doubtful and suggests that the photograph may have been taken in the UK. However, by a process of elimation of the plays set in Roman times in which Hannan Norbert-Miller performed either in the UK or at an earlier time, "Politik um Clodia" appears to be most likely.
