Scope and Content

From [Bradford] to his wife [Harriet]. The Lord has been very generous. ‘We had a preciousseason in the forenoon. The chapel was quite crowded & many could not get in. The collection inthe morning amounted to about £50. I had to preach this afternoon out of doors while Mr [Robert]Newton preached in the chapel to above 1000 people! Such a day was never seen before in Bradford! Icannot get to Wortley, and I feel so fatigued...that I think of staying all night. You’ll nottherefore expect me till tomorrow. I wish Mr [George] Marsden to get Mr Fulgam to go to [unreadableplacename] tomorrow evening, as I shall have to call at Bramley tomorrow on my return. Let MrMarsden know this in the morning, if not this evening’.

His love should be passed to mother and the children.
