Correspondence between J.R. Beard and Robert Shipman concerning a 'singing class' among the students which Beard had gave his consent to. Beard states that an 'abuse' had grown out of it as the class 'as it exists, comprises six "ladies"', so Beard ordered it to be discontinued.
