From Mr. [Wallace] to F. Baker. Baker's previous letter has set his mind at rest on a worrying subject. He has written to G.V. Smith to stand in on the 22nd and was offered the service of Mr. [Napier] instead. He had not heard of him but thought this would be unacceptable to his people. He says they are feeble and ineffectual and better tutors than preachers.
Dated at Hale Lodge.
