A resolution concerning a dispute between Franklin Howarth and his congregation, distancing itself from the dispute, but asserting ministerial freedom. A note signed by Baker is added explaining that it was submitted to the Provincial Meeting by J. Martineau. However after a stormy discussion of its character the Bury people defended their right to the cause they had taken in respect to their minister and it was rejected by a large majority.
