Administrative / Biographical History

The Mersey Quay and Railway Carters' Union was formed in 1889. It was renamed the Liverpool and District Carters and Motormen's Union in c.1920 and amalgamated with the Transport and General Workers' Union in 1947, forming the Liverpool and District Carters and Motormen's Section.
