Scope and Content

Marketing - Promotional and publicity records created by the Marketing department in Rambert. Includes promotional videos, Company newsletters, Company magazine 'Meeting Point', audience surveys, questionnaires, audience profiles, statistics and market research, ticket sales and box office return figures, programmes and press cuttings, publicity material, posters.

The largest subseries is Programmes and publicity files (RDC/MA/04/01). These have been arranged in rough chronological order; files contain programmes and publicity material such as press releases relevant to the programme.

Please refer to RDC/PF/02/01 Tour Venue files for correspondence and samples of local marketing activities.

The Rambert archive remained largely un-catalogued until 2012/13. The current catalogue structure was drafted by cataloguing archivist Eilís McCarthy based on the archive location guide, a survey of the collection and research into the Company history. Senior members of staff were also consulted and the final catalogue structure was approved by Rambert Chief Executive Nadia Stern and Company Archivist Arike Oke.

The catalogue is based on a functional structure of Rambert. Series roughly correspond with departments creating and collecting the records. The structure is as follows;
