who, as Marie Kenrick (variously Kendrick), appeared regularly at theatres in Bath, Hastings, Torquay, Cardiff, Canterbury, Brighton, etc. These papers include a large bundle of her newspaper "notices", all testifying to her ability as an actress ... as one critic puts it : "Few actresses have so fascinating and winsome a manner as Miss Marie Kendrick". She enjoyed special successes with "The Little French Milliner" (adapted from "Coralie et Cie" by Hennequin and Valabregue), "Mrs Dane's Defence" (by Henry Arthur Jones) and "A Crooked Crown" (adapted from Dumas). Also included in these papers are : advertising broadsheet for the Theatre Royal, Margate, in which she is billed to appear in "Hoodman Blind" (by Henry Arthur Jones and Wilson Barrett); programme of "A Crooked Crown" at the Theatre Royal, Canterbury, in which she is billed as M.Y. Kenrick; and 2 letters - one of thanks for M K's singing at a recital, and the other to "Dearest Muffie" (her family name was apparently "Muff") referring to her success in "The Little French Milliner". According to a note by Mrs Marion Kenrick, she died in Jersey in about 1967
