Observations on Cousin James's matrimonial intentions concerning his daughter; has hopes that they have the vital "mutual high esteem", and is sincerely attached to his daughter; he will not oppose the match, and obviously has a high regard for the young man. In a postscript, sympathises with "Cousin Kenrick" in his "present tryal" of sorrow; a message for Cousin John, and a reminder from Jos. Child about the promised "good old Cheshire cheese".
