Copy will of Sarah Kenrick of Hope Street, Wrexham, widow and relict of John Kenrick late of the parish of Ruabon, gent, dec'd.

Scope and Content

Recites the will of her late husband, whereby she was empowered to charge his purchased estates with any sum not exceeding £200 to be equally divided between them, with the exception of her eldest son John Kenrick, who is to receive "Mr Henery first volume on the Bible, Dr. Baxtors works, one volume of Dr Mantons Sermons, one volume of Dr Evans Sermons, Mr Philip Henerys Life". The said John is also to give his daughter Sarah and son Archibald the sum of £6 19s. 2d. which he owes to the testator "for the Goods in the House at Ruabon", to buy Bibles and other good books. Leaves £50 to her grand-daughter Sarah Kenrick, daughter of her late son Archibald, payable at the age of 21 years with interest from the time of the testator's death, and in the event of the said Sarah's previous death, to be shared equally between the testator's three younger children Samuel, William and Edward. Also leaves to her grand-daughter her silver watch, one large silver spoon, one set of china, and some devotional books. To her son Samuel Kenrick she leaves two silver candlesticks and one pair of snuffers. Leaves to her grand-daughter Mary Kenrick the picture of the testator's father and mother. Leaves to her son William two large spoons, a small silver salver, one silver cup and her linen. To her son Edward she leaves one silver porringer, one silver cup, two large silver spoons and devotional books. Her grand-children John, James, Tymothy and Martha are to receive a guinea each to buy Bibles. Names her said sons William and Edward joint executors and residuary legatees.
