Administrative / Biographical History

The BBC series Writers and Places featured a number of prominent writers returning to locations that had informed their work. In an episode broadcast in 1982, titled A Kind of Failure, Burgess visits Malaysia (formerly Malaya) where he reflects on his early writing career and the development of the country following his departure in 1957.
