A musical, composed by Burgess, that takes its inspiration from the fact that the Bolshevik leader was living in Manhattan when the Russian Revolution erupted in February 1917.
Burgess had completed the first draft of the libretto and lyrics by March 1977, and had probably completed the entire score by late 1979. His 1982 novel, The End of the World News, is in part based on the libretto.
This series consists of a page of draft lyrics for the musical.
