This file contains ms and ts drafts of Graves's Creweian Oration for 1962, and associated correspondence and other materials. The correspondence is from John Griffith and Donald Russell, classicists who assisted Graves with the oration. Amongst the university news which the oration is obliged to report, the proposal to re-house the Department of Zoology is used by Graves as a hook on which to hang a translation to Latin of verses by Hilaire Belloc on the subject of dodos.
