Ms and ts drafts of 'Poetic Gold', an address made by Graves to the Oxford University Philological Society [on 17 November 1961] and subsequently published. Graves takes as his starting point his award of a gold medal in January 1959 by the National Poetry Society of America, and his discovery that the medal was merely gold-plated.
