These were delivered in Latin at the Encaenia, a formal event at which honorary degrees are awarded by the University of Oxford. Scope and Content
Material in this series arrived in considerable disarray. During cataloguing material was sorted into three files: material pertaining to the 1962 Creweian Oration; material pertaining to the 1964 Creweian Oration; printed material pertaining to the Encaenia and associated university events. A further bundle of material pertaining to the judging of a number of university prizes, carried out by Graves in his capacity as Professor of Poetry, has been placed at RG/K/OPP.
