Administrative / Biographical History

In 1965 McKelvie and Company (Motherwell) Limited was sold to McKelvie and Company (Transport) Limited and its name changed to Strathclyde Transport Services Limited. In 1966 it was sold to Craig Transport Company Limited and its name changed back to McKelvie and Company Limited. It was later acquired by the national road haulage and warehousing company, the Transport Development Group.

These records were deposited in 1986 by the advisory service of the Business Archives Council, which had acquired them in 1985.
