Bills and Vouchers

Scope and Content

This series of documents expands upon records found in the sessions rolls. It includes bills and orders for payment for work on county bridges, county and shire halls, gaols and other county properties; bills from constables for apprehending, relieving and conveying vagrants, transporting felons and other expenses; returns of the price of corn at Llanrwst, Ruthin, Denbigh, Wrexham and Llangollen markets, orders for payments to militia men's families, and of the salaries and expenses of county officials including the masters of the houses of correction at Ruthin, Denbigh and Wrexham and the county gaoler. From 1850 bundles only contain orders for payment, and from 1875 the police accounts no longer appear as separate bundles
