Address: Charlotte Square, [Edinburgh]. To the [11th] Earl of Buchan. Asks his advice upon Sinclair's statistical work on Scotland. 'If the arrangement were finally settled I should consider the Works as having made considerable progress. It is like laying the foundation of a new house: or getting over the first stage of a Journey'.
