Autograph letter to Adèle Hugo inviting her two daughters, Léopoldine and Adèle, to a party in which they plan to dance and play piano with the writer's daughters.

Bazaine-Sonovert was the wife of Pierre-Dominique Adolphe Bazaine (1809-1893), a French railway engineer and brother of François Achille, marshal of France, infamous for having surrendered without a fight in the Franco-Prussian War (1870).
