Autograph letter to Hugo in which the writer inveighs against the Belgian government's extradition of Hugo following the incidents in the place des Barricades and tells him that he has the support of Les Nouvelles du jour.

Labarre was a Belgian Republican writer and journalist. He edited the Charivari Belge, Le Drapeau, La Nation, etc. He met Hugo during his stay in Belgium between 1851 and 1852.
