Letter from Adolphe Wolff to Hugo

Scope and Content

Autograph letter to Hugo from a fellow political exile who says that the two pamphlets enclosed (not included) are the last he can afford to produce: he is in debt to two printers and is reduced to giving French and Spanish lessons when he can get them. He asks whether Hugo thinks his pamphlets would find subscribers in Jersey and Guernsey.

Written at London.

Wolff was a Republican activist who went into exile in Britain after Louis Napoleon Bonaparte's coup.
