Autograph letter to Hugo assuring him that it is excessive modesty on his part to think that the writer (who addresses Hugo as 'my dear disciple') could have forgotten him.

Lefébure de Fourcy was a French mathematician. He taught at the Lycée Louis-le-Grand, where he was the teacher of Hugo, and the University of Paris.
